Its Bad Management, Not A Drought

A drought is where there is no grass, Crops Fail, Livestock and people are dead and rotting in the fields. I dont see any of that here. What I see is green fields, Crops growing and cows living!

The reason people have hose pipe bans in this country, is not due to the below average rainfall that we have experienced over the last twelve months, but it is entirely down to the fact that the water companies are more interested in making a profit, and paying shareholders, than they are in Maintaining and improving on the infrastructure that supplies that water to us!

We are an Island sourounded by an almost Limitless supply of water. Admitted it is sea water, but with very simple technology, it can be turned in to Drinkable Tap Water. It is done in a lot of other places around the world, so why not here.

The answer is simple. De-salination costs money. Lots of money and our water bills would inevitably increase. But there would be no Shortage!!!

Dog Fouling and Red Rubber Bands

Apparently I am not the only one in the world who finds the antics of those minority of Dog Walkers who fail to clean up after their pooches rather discusting.  I have been contacted on Twitter by @peterarronsen, the owner of a blog called Dog Fouling and Red Rubber Bands.  These are two subjects I can actually relate too!!!

Peter has made me famous, by including my recent blog entry about Dog fouling on his Blog as well, so I am returning the favour and promoting his blog here too.  I will also be placing a link on my site as well.

Thanks Peter, I hope all this publicity finds the culprit!!!

Dog Fouling – Its an Increasing Problem.

First I would like to say thankyou to the young couple who were walking their dog through Chelwood Close in Chippenham just gone 10pm last night.

Thank you for letting your Dog foul the grass below my bedroom window, and thank you for NOT cleaning it up.I understand that when Dogs need to go, they need to go, but you have a responsibility to clean it up.

Oh and the  CCTV image, may go some way to identify you, even though it was dark.

I have noticed though that this appears to be an increasing problem in this town, and I’m not talking parks.  I’m talking in housing Estates where people live!  Wiltshire council does have a policy on this, to the effect all incidents can be reported, which will eventually lead to it being cleaned up and investigated, but this costs money, and is no real deterrent to those few who continue to flout the law.

Oh and here is a picture of the Culprits!

Do you know who this guy is?
